Swimming Helped Me Get into Great Shape! |

Personally, I think swimming is one of the best ways to get into spectacular shape. I realized this several years ago when my sister took a lifeguard training course. My sister was in pretty decent shape when she began this course, but after its completion, I could hardly believe the results! She had been a little flabby and soft in some areas, and her endurance needed some work. When she had finished the training, though, she had new muscle definition and no flab! Plus, she could go swimming for hours without getting tired. I was so impressed by the results I began incorporating swimming into my own fitness regimen, asking my sister to help me design and optimize these workouts. Like anyone else, I had played around in the pool, using swimming as a purely recreational activity. But when I began taking it more seriously, I couldn't believe how tough these swimming workouts were! My cardiovascular strength and my endurance both improved. The best part, though, is how great I look in a swimsuit now! Because I live in Arizona, it's easy to go swimming outside most months of the year, but my gym also has a pool so I can continue my training during the colder winter months. |
