Before we became parents, my husband swore that he would never sleep outside, in a tent or under the stars with his kids. He thought that it would be just too uncomfortable and tasking. Yes, he was pretty adamant about NOT doing any outdoor camping of any sort. Well, we eventually became parents, and...he became the biggest outdoor camping lover that you could have ever imagined!

When our first son was born, my husband wanted him to experience lots of fun, exciting things as soon as he could. He wanted him to become good at swimming, sports and try outdoor camping. Our son absolutely loved his first time and to this day, still loves it. And what's so nice is that my husband loves it more than my son. I'm just so touched and impressed with this attitude coming from a man who had unequivocally decided that he wouldn't participate in camping of any kind. Now the only thing I have to do is try to keep them from going camping every weekend when the season starts. Talk about a change!
